Exports/Imports in Rio
Since Rio de Janeiro holds the biggest port in the country, the city both imports and exports a lot of goods to places around the world. Brazil is one of the world's largest exporters of coffee, sugar cane, petroleum, soybeans, and citrus fruit. The city also exports minerals and silver that were mined outside of the city. This causes exports leaving the city to bring in lots of revenue and helps the economy continue to rapidly to grow. Rio receives imports through these ports as well. It receives imports from the continent of Asia mostly with China sending goods to the city the most. Brazil's main import in these ports is oil as the country does not have any oil fields to produce fossil fuels on their own.
